We’d all like to see change happen now. In our jobs. In our government. In our relationships. In our lives.
We’ve been conditioned, in today’s modern age, to want everything to happen immediately. That may be how things work on the internet, but it’s not how it works in real life.
Change happens, but most of the time it happens very slowly. The old English proverb “Good things come to those who wait” preps us to expect that we should be waiting patiently.
So, if it’s worth having, it’s worth waiting for.
That doesn’t mean that we should sit back and quietly wait for things to happen naturally. Keep yelling, screaming, and banging down the doors.
Just know that it’s probably gonna take a lot longer than we think it should.
