Most of us would prefer to work for customers who care, people who understand the value of what it is we do, somebody who’s in on the joke.
Alas, an engaged client; that’s a prize that’s hard to find.
Simply doing average work for an average audience; that’s a whole lot easier to pull off, albeit much less rewarding.
In the beginning, choosing to do high quality work for a specific type of customer can certainly make running a business tougher.
But once the good customers (you know, the ones worth working for) discover your business and start sharing the word with other high-quality customers, things will start coming together for you, and you’ll be happy you held out for first-rate clients who appreciate a first-rate product.
