Continuing on my rant about perceived problems that really aren’t:
Being in business (as well as being a human) means that we’re constantly bombarded with information and interruptions.
All day.
Every day.
But, that doesn’t mean that we’ve got to respond to (or even waste precious mental energy thinking about) every single intrusion into our stream of consciousness.
To quote Tim Ferriss, most of the things that are trying to distract us are either “irrelevant, unimportant, or unactionable… (or) all three.”
Successful people learn how to focus their mental energy on the things that really matter, and ignore everything else.
While it’s not a skill that’s easily mastered, it’s one that’s worth its weight in gold.
