We all try hard to advertise our businesses. Ideally, we’d like to do it in the most cost-effective way possible. (And free always seems to be the cheapest way!)
So, many of us choose social media: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc. Anywhere we can get eyeballs on our product without spending a dime seems like a bargain!
But is it really?
It can be, as long as we realize what we’re doing when we spend our valuable time posting to social. Those adds help to keep our product front of mind with our potential clients, but are very unlikely to lead directly to a sale. Most people aren’t scrolling through social media with the intention of making an immediate purchase.
There certainly is value to be found in running these types of “brand ads.” Making sure that our target market knows about us, where we are, and what we’ve got to offer is an invaluable part of marketing.
Let’s just not forget that brand marketing is only one part of a successful marketing strategy.
