Too much information.
It’s all around us. We can never catch up. Too much to see on social media. Too many series to ever watch. Too much email, too many messages, and countless voicemails in our inbox.
It’s all just too much.
So, what can we do?
We can only do what we can do.
Figure out exactly what must be done and do that. If your job depends on answering those voicemails, then do that. If social media provides most of our leads, then hop over there. Orders mostly come from online forms? Then handle that immediately.
While it’s not always the easiest (or the most enjoyable) thing to do, putting the majority of our energy into the channel that provides the most bang for the buck is always a smart business decision.
We’ll never catch up with the barrage of info that’s coming our way. Over 300 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute (and that’s just YouTube!)
It’s a losing battle; a fight we can’t win. We’ll never catch up, so why even try?
Stop stressing over information overload, figure out exactly what drives the train for your business, and just do that.
And next time you’ve got an extra 300 hours, catch up on a minute’s worth of YouTube videos…
